Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This policy explains what information Periferal ("we", "us") collects when you visit this website or join the alpha waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell your information.
Who we are
Periferal makes a shared, structured workspace for product specs. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy at privacy@periferal.app.
What we collect
- Waitlist details. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give them, your role and your team size.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and this website sets no cookies.
How we use it
- To contact you about the Periferal alpha: when there's a seat for your team, and with occasional updates about the alpha.
- To understand which kinds of teams are interested, so we can plan the alpha.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
We rely on your consent for the waitlist (you can withdraw it at any time) and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website for the technical information.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers who help us run the waitlist and this website, such as our hosting provider, the service that stores waitlist sign-ups, and our email provider. They process it on our behalf and under our instructions. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell or rent your personal information.
This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google its IP address when it fetches them.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until the alpha is open to your team, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Technical logs are kept for a short period, usually no more than 30 days, unless we need them to investigate a security issue.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including in the EU, the UK and California, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent. To use any of these rights, email privacy@periferal.app. You can also unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link in each one. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where they do, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
Children
Periferal is a tool for professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Periferal grows beyond its alpha. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant, we'll let people on the waitlist know by email.
